Bailey Peterson is the Operations Manager for Shelter the Homeless and brings eight years of nonprofit experience to her role. Since joining the organization, she has played a key role in expanding and strengthening shelter infrastructure across Salt Lake County. Bailey was instrumental in the rehabilitation of two motels into specialized non-congregate shelters and has helped lead capital improvements that support the Homeless Resource Centers. Her work focuses on ensuring facilities are safe, functional, and able to meet the evolving needs of the people and programs they serve.
Prior to joining Shelter the Homeless, Bailey worked with First Step House, where she served as Recovery Residence Manager providing addiction treatment services and helping grow the organization’s sober living program to support more individuals in transitional housing. During her time there, she also worked in admissions completing new client intakes, served as a housing case manager, and worked in direct support roles. Bailey holds a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Utah.
