Dennis is the Safety and Community Liaison at Shelter the Homeless, bringing extensive experience in public policy, nonprofit collaboration, and stakeholder relations. He plays a crucial role in maintaining relationships with law enforcement, neighbors, and community partners across Salt Lake County, helping mitigate concerns and minimize the impact of shelter operations in local neighborhoods. Dennis has also spearheaded initiatives that engage clients and local businesses in keeping both shelters and surrounding neighborhoods clean, fostering community pride and building stronger connections with the people and places Shelter the Homeless serves.

Prior to joining Shelter the Homeless, Dennis served as the business and community liaison under Volunteers of America for SLC properties. A U.S. Air Force veteran and former Salt Lake City Council Member, he has over 15 years of experience shaping city policy, fostering collaboration, and bridging diverse communities. Dennis is known for his problem-solving skills, relationship-building, and ability to navigate complex challenges with transparency and diplomacy.
